A photo taken on a phone records exactly where you were, the time down to the second, and the device that took it. That information travels with the file, invisible on screen. See what yours carry, then strip it in one click.
These fields, called EXIF metadata, are added automatically by the camera and by editing software. Nobody asks your permission, and nothing displays them.

GPS coordinates on a map, camera model, serial number, date, author: every field is explained, along with what someone could infer from it.
Tick the categories to strip, download the cleaned photo. The pixels are identical to the original, byte for byte.
It is the only question that matters, and it deserves better than a promise. Here are two ways to check for yourself, with no technical knowledge at all.
Your browser has kept this page in memory. Turn on airplane mode, or unplug the wifi, then reload: the application starts again and analyses your photos as if nothing had happened. A site that uploaded your files to a server would show an error page instead.

This page monitors its own network activity and shows it live, below. Drop a photo: the counter will not move. The only thing that raises it is deliberately showing the map, which fetches its background tiles from OpenStreetMap.

A browser can read and modify a file entirely on its own, without a server — that is what it does when you open a photo from your disk. This application uses nothing else. There is no server receiving your images, because no server is needed.

No, never. Analysis and cleaning run entirely in your browser. You can verify it by cutting your internet connection: the page keeps working normally.
It depends on the network. Facebook, Instagram and X strip most metadata on upload. But a photo sent by email or message, posted to a classifieds site, a forum or online storage generally keeps everything, GPS coordinates included. The doubt alone justifies cleaning before sharing.
No, and the distinction matters. The tool works on the file, not on what the image shows: it strips the invisible information travelling with it — location, device, date, author. People and places visible in the photo stay visible. To mask a face or a licence plate, you need an image editor.
No. For JPEG, PNG, WebP and HEIC, only the metadata blocks are removed from the file; the pixel data is copied without being decoded or recompressed. The result is identical to the original, pixel for pixel. An optional stronger anonymisation, clearly flagged, is the only path that recompresses.
Lossless cleaning works on JPEG, PNG, WebP and HEIC — the format iPhones use. GIF, BMP, TIFF and AVIF files are analysed, and can be cleaned by re-encoding.
No. The bytes are not masked, they are absent from the downloaded file. The application also re-reads the file it has just produced and shows you what it still contains, rather than asking you to take its word for it.
Because camera geolocation is on by default on most phones. Every shot then records the latitude, longitude and often the altitude of where it was taken, accurate to a few metres. You can turn it off in the camera settings, but that changes nothing for photos already taken.
The site counts page views, with no cookie and no identifier: it knows a page was visited, never by whom. No profile is built, nothing is sold on, and the measurement covers the site's own pages — never the photos you drop in, which stay in your browser. A tool that faults others for silent data collection owes you clarity about its own.
